It is with grief and deep sorrow, that I relay to you the loss of our dear friend Stanley Khouri – OD5BV/KCC6NNO who passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles.
RAL member, one of Lebanon’s Amateur Radio pioneers, Ex. RAL Executive Committee member (1958 and 1960), Stanley is a gentlemen, soft-spoken and caring person that seems to have chosen not to leave his close and dear friend Abou Yousef alone in his journey and left us in a hurry to catch up with him.
The Amateur Radio community is shattered by the sad news. In this time of bereavement, and on behalf of the Radio Amateurs in Lebanon (RAL), we convey our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his family, friends and to all those who admired him as they mourn his loss.
Stanley is survived by his beloved wife Cleo and his Children Dorian & Dina.
RAL Executive committee and members will be receiving condolences at the RAL HQ on Thursday. A memorial service will be held in Beirut on Sunday (Details to follow). Burial will take place in CA.
Stanley, you will be greatly missed. May your soul rest in peace.
